History
West Coast Woman began publishing in March, 1988. WCW is a free, monthly publication that editorially focuses on female readers in Manatee and Sarasota Counties on the central west coast of Florida. Our format is tabloid in size, magazine in content. In 1993 the paper was purchased by LMB Media, Inc., with Louise M. Bruderle as publisher and owner. The publication has undergone many changes as it approaches its 16th year of publishing and has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with its advertisers, readers and many friends.
Editorial Focus
West Coast Woman is a lifestyle publication with its main
focus on the events, issues, personalities and interests pertinent to women in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. In each issue WCW devotes extensive coverage to local events including fundraisers, lectures, classes, concerts, gallery listings, local attractions, club meetings, women’s events and networking opportunities. Equally popular are our health/wellness events. Prominent in each issue is the West Coast Woman Profile of an outstanding woman in the community. The remainder of the publication includes financial, health, travel, education and consumer features. [...back to top] Editorial Deadlines
